Washington Commanders vs Atlanta Falcons Match Player Stats (Sep 28, 2025)

Week 4, 2025 NFL season | Sunday, September 28, 2025 | Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia

Michael Penix Jr. threw for 313 yards and two touchdowns, a career high at the time, as the Atlanta Falcons beat the Washington Commanders 34-27 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. It was the response Falcons coach Raheem Morris had been waiting for since Atlanta was shut out by Carolina the week before. Asked when he first saw signs of it, Morris didn’t hesitate. “Monday, when he came to work.”

Bijan Robinson added 181 yards from scrimmage and a rushing touchdown, and Drake London turned eight catches into 110 yards and a score, the best game of his 2025 season, as Atlanta finished with 435 total yards. Marcus Mariota, starting in place of an injured Jayden Daniels, threw for 156 yards and two touchdowns for Washington, and Deebo Samuel caught six passes for 72 yards and a touchdown in the loss.

Below is the complete Washington Commanders vs. Atlanta Falcons player stats and box score from that Week 4 meeting, including the scoring breakdown, team totals and every individual number from both sides.

Scott Novak worked as referee, with Duane Heydt at umpire, Brian Sakowski at down judge, Mark Stewart at line judge, Terry Brown at field judge, Don Willard at side judge and Tony Josselyn at back judge.

Washington was already without Daniels for a second straight week, and top receiver Terry McLaurin sat out the entire game with a quad injury. On Atlanta’s side, wide receiver Darnell Mooney left in the third quarter with a hamstring issue after catching one pass, and cornerback Natron Brooks was evaluated for a concussion following a second-quarter kickoff return. Through four games of the 2025 season, the result left Atlanta at 2-2 overall and 1-1 at home, and Washington at 2-2 overall and 0-2 on the road.

Atlanta never trailed. The response Morris promised that Monday after Carolina was right there in the box score, all 435 yards of it.
