Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts Match Player Stats (Oct 26, 2025)

October 26, 2025 | Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN | Attendance: 65,816 | CBS

Jonathan Taylor needed just 12 carries to post 153 rushing yards and three touchdowns, including an 80-yard run in the third quarter that made what had been a competitive first half into a comfortable afternoon for Indianapolis. Daniel Jones threw three touchdown passes, took no interceptions, and handed off to backups well before the fourth quarter was over. The Colts won 38–14, moving to an NFL-best 7-1 on the season.

Tennessee, 1-7 and in its second game under interim head coach Mike McCoy following the firing of Brian Callahan, never recovered from falling behind 17–7 at halftime. The Titans gained 341 total yards but converted just six of 15 third downs. Cam Ward absorbed four sacks. Six of Tennessee’s seven losses to that point had come by double digits — this one, by 24, was the largest margin of the two meetings between these teams in 2025.

Key Numbers from the Game

  • Jonathan Taylor’s three touchdowns — an 18-yard run, an 80-yard run, and a 19-yard reception — made him the first player in NFL history to score three touchdowns in three consecutive games against the same opponent. He had done it against Tennessee in December 2024 and again in Week 3 of the 2025 season (September 21, Nashville, a 41–20 Colts win). He did it again here.
  • The Colts swept the 2025 regular season series against Tennessee, winning the first meeting by 21 points and this one by 24.
  • Taylor finished with 174 combined yards from 14 touches — 153 rushing, 21 receiving.
  • Daniel Jones had not been sacked on a third down at any point in 2025 before Dre’Mont Jones brought him down in the second quarter.
  • Tyjae Spears’ 41-yard carry to set up Tennessee’s first score was the longest run by a Titans ball carrier since Derrick Henry departed following the 2023 season.
  • Johnny Hekker recorded his 1,000th career punt during the third quarter.
  • Indianapolis averaged 8.1 yards per play. Tennessee, despite holding the ball for more than 34 minutes, averaged 5.1.
  • The Colts scored at least 31 points for the fourth straight game during this stretch.

Taylor’s final line — 12 carries, 153 yards, two rushing touchdowns, two receptions, 21 yards, one receiving touchdown — was the kind of box score that wins MVP arguments. The Colts posted 420 total yards in 52 plays against a short-handed Tennessee defense and turned it over zero times. For the Titans, the 38–14 scoreline was the sixth double-digit loss in seven weeks: a franchise mid-rebuild, a rookie quarterback still finding his footing, and a defense already playing without its best player before kickoff. The box score was just the final confirmation of a gap that had been obvious since the first quarter.
